See the Good

We arrived in Pennsylvania on Sunday just after a rain storm, and as we were bringing our gear into the camper, a full rainbow appeared across the sky, totally visible from one end to the other. It was one of those miraculous moments, like seeing a shooting star, and it was just as brief - in a gasp, it was gone. But the symbolic significance was not lost on me - good things are coming around and blessings are here, right now.
What an auspicious beginning.
.
Our camper is now parked at our friend's farm on a hilltop, and this evening I taught my class in a field, surrounded by buttercups, a flower said to represent joy and new beginnings.
I'm feeling it.
.
I love seeing the good through the symbolic aspects of nature - from atmospheric phenomena to the animals, birds, and insects that cross my path - yes, rainbows and flowers. There are positive messages everywhere. We can choose to see our simple daily occurrences as mundane, or as opportunities for deeper introspection into the wonders of life and ourselves. Life is good, believe it, trust it, see it.

It’s right here.
